Unmanned Canada 2017 Call for Student Paper Abstracts

Unmanned Systems Canada will be holding its internationally renowned annual conference UnmannedCanada 2017  1 – 3 November in Toronto, ON at the Sheraton Parkway Toronto North Hotel & Suites to present Canadian and International experience and innovation in the field of Unmanned Vehicle Systems (UVS) technologies across air, land, and water sectors.

Abstracts for our student paper competition are sought regarding all subject areas related to unmanned vehicle systems, research and development, case studies, operational experience and recent innovations. Three abstracts will be selected and invited to complete and submit a paper for presentation at Unmanned Canada 2017.

Prizes

Accommodation, conference fees, and travel costs to present at Unmanned Canada 2017 for the finalists are covered by Unmanned Systems Canada. The winning student will be announced at the conclusion of Unmanned Canada 2017, and will be invited to attend an International conference as the guest of Unmanned Systems Canada

Important Dates

Initial Title/Abstract/Bio submission: May 26, 2017
Notification of Acceptance: June 16, 2017
Final Paper submission: October 13, 2017

Submission Guidelines

Initial presentation title’s, abstracts (up to 250 words), and author bio’s (up to 200 words) are to be submitted on-line via the Unmanned Systems Canada website at https://unmannedsystems.ca/unmanned-canada-abstract-submission/

Students can request to have their submission considered as a regular presentation (no paper) if not selected as one of the three finalists.  Questions may be addressed to the conference technical committee via email at [email protected]

Student Eligibility

The competition is open to all Canadian full time, postsecondary students, either at the undergraduate or post graduate level registered with a recognized educational institution either within or outside Canada.
