Unmanned Systems Canada will be holding its internationally renowned annual conference UnmannedCanada 2017 1 – 3 November in Toronto, ON at the Sheraton Parkway Toronto North Hotel & Suites to present Canadian and International experience and innovation in the field of Unmanned Vehicle Systems (UVS) technologies across air, land, and water sectors.
Abstracts for presentations are sought regarding all subject areas related to unmanned vehicle systems, research and development, case studies, operational experience and recent innovations, including but not limited to, the following themes:
• Civil and Commercial applications
• Beyond Visual Line of Sight operations
• R&D/ Emerging technologies
• Regulations developments & experience
• Law enforcement and Military applications
• Legal Issues and Ethics
• Drone countermeasures
• First responder applications
• Innovative use cases
• Training Simulation
• Data security & Privacy
• Sensors and Data Integration
Important Dates
Initial Title/Abstract/Bio submission: May 26, 2017
Notification of Acceptance: June 16, 2017
Final Abstract/Bio for Booklet Publication: October 13, 2017
Submission Guidelines
Initial presentation title’s, abstracts (up to 250 words), and author bio’s (up to 200 words) are to be submitted on-line via the Unmanned Systems Canada website at https://unmannedsystems.ca/unmanned-canada-abstract-submission/

Selection Process
The conference technical committee will select presentations based on the submitted information, and notify authors via email by June 16 2017. It is understood that abstracts may be preliminary at this time owing to yet to be completed research/trials, etc. Authors may refine their abstracts up until the conference booklet publication deadline of October 13 2017, however the significant changes may be subject to further technical committee review.
Reduced Conference Registration Fee:
Speakers are entitled to a significantly reduced registration fee that reflects Unmanned Systems Canada’s direct costs for each attendee. This reduced fee provides the speaker with access to the full conference program.
