Through this RFI, the Ministry is seeking information about the UNMANNED Aerial System (UAS) marketplace in order to assist in the determination of future purchasing options or requirements when faced with client requests that may fall outside what the Ministry can currently offer, and thus, need to be contracted to a vendor. In order to properly acquire future services, the Ministry is seeking responses to technical and operational questions which will assist in the planning and development of future mission requests. The Ministry is seeking responses by UAS service providers in order to properly acquire future services and obtain information about the UAS marketplace. The Ministry’s intent with the information acquired is to collect data as a reference and further understand what is currently available in the marketplace. The Ministry’s intent is also to develop a database of service providers in order to assist in the determination of future purchasing options when faced with client requests that may fall outside what the Ministry can currently offer. All amendments to the associated notice, including amended documents, plans and specifications (where applicable), are issued by the originator of the notice. MERX asks you to contact the buying agency directly for these amendments. MERX stipulates that potential bidders may also be required to register with the buying authority as a bidder/plan taker.
