Well, it’s down to the crunch: The final day of what has been an amazing conference of knowledge sharing, networking, and celebration of the unprecedented growth taking place in this industry.
But all good things must come to an end. And…after another day of excellent sessions and a final evening of networking, we’ll be calling this year’s USC-STC conference a wrap at some point late Thursday.
We’ll also be calling it – and we hope you will, too – a success.
Although we didn’t get a final roadmap from Transport Canada, there was significant news, along with a clear sense of both cooperation and an unmistakable recognition of the urgent need for this industry to continue to safely innovate and accelerate.
There were some tremendous exhibits and presentations, including a major delegation that came all the way from Poland – and which put on an excellent session. (Did you know that Poland has 8,500 pilots – and a growing number of manufacturers of excellent UAS?)
In addition to the excellent presentations we’ve seen so far, there’s been plenty of networking taking place. B2B tables have been jammed, relationships forged, friendships made.
And there’s still one more full day to get the most from the conference.
So take in those sessions. Introduce yourself to someone from a different part of the sector. Visit the folks at the TC booth with any questions you might have following their major presentation Tuesday.
Check out Annex Media in the exhibit hall and introduce yourself. We hope some of their publications may one day be working on stories about our industry. And if you’re from the aerial world, don’t forget our organization represents not only UAVs, but also autonomous vehicles that operate on (and beneath) both land and sea. Make sure you see the technology unrolling in the other segments of this industry. (If you caught the maritime presentation, you’ll know that electrified cargo ships will be crossing the world’s oceans in the very near future.)
So make the most of it. It ain’t over ’till it’s over; there’s still lots to see and do @ #UC18Vancouver.
See you on the floor!
