UVS International Survey on Drone Ops – 30 September deadline

DRONE OPERATIONS
WHERE & WHAT – TODAY & TOMORROW

The survey on Non-Military Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) / Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) / Drone Operations is available online in 7 languages (English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Polish & Spanish).

This survey is open to drone operators in the following categories from all countries:
l Corporate Entities (operator; manufacturer & operator; flight school; test range; commercial research organisation);
l Non-Corporate Entities [governmental (drone operator, e.g.: police, customs, border guards, civil protection, coast guard, meteorological service, rescue service; non-commercial research organisation), NGO, academia/university].

In the context of this survey, the following should be noted:
l A drone can be an aircraft with any configuration, of any mass, and fly at any flight altitude for any duration of time to accomplish any of the mission purposes defined in the survey.
l An drone operator is a company or organisation (governmental or non-governmental) conducting, or planning to conduct, commercial or non-commercial flight operations with drones (incl. corporate flights for a company’s own benefit).

Up to today, 916 drone operators from 60 countries & 3 overseas territories have submitted completed submission forms.

With still 17 days to go, this survey is on its way to becoming most extensive ever conducted.

DRONE OPERATORS: MAKE YOUR VOICES HEARD

If you are a drone operator, and you have not yet completed the survey, you are cordially invited to do so. Make your voice heard – It will only take 10 minutes.

The submission deadline is 30 September 2017.

l  The survey inputs received will NOT be nominally attributed to the companies and organisations supplying them.
l  However, the names of the companies & organisations having contributed will be listed in the final report and referenced as survey contributors. Make sure that your name is on this list, and be recognized as a member of the international drone operator community.

Your participation will contribute to creating a realistic evaluation of the current & future international UAS/RPAS/Drone market based on actual inputs from the relevant community, instead of being based on the “estimates” or “extrapolations” made by a consultant without any inputs from the actual worldwide RPAS/drone operator community.

The survey forms, a detailed explanation of the survey objectives, the result dissemination plan, the countries already having contributed, as well as 5 reference documents, can be found at:
