Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO), Freshwater Institute (FWl) wish to acquire an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) for research on sea ice habitat characterization and marine mammals. The UAV platform will be deployed during campaigns in ice-covered waters of the last Ice Area to map sea ice topography, sea ice and snow surface properties, and the distribution of marine mammals.
